I was at Meso on a Wednesday evening for a work happy hour. I got there around 6pm and the place was not very crowded. The location is ideal, a few steps from the parking garage that that always have space and even though it is in Santata Row, it is quieter. There was buffet of small bites but the servers were also walking around with the food, service was great! Someone even came around regularly to get your trash. The buffet had falafel and meatballs on a stick, humus with various crudites and bread and a charcuterie board. The bar is impressive, I had a couple of glasses of champagne and a glass of chardonnay. The drinks were fabulous, the selection was extensive and service was quick! By the time I left a couple of hours later, the place was almost full, on a Wednesday night. I will be going back!

Came here for a weekday dinner. Drink: 1. (Banshee) cab, 2. New Santorini cocktail, which was tasty and pretty. It was a hit at our table. Appetizers: 1. Brussels sprouts- tasty but not the best I've ever has 2. Cauliflower- phenomenal! The crunch quinoa and yogurt were so tiny and I added some to the Brussels sprouts and that elevated them too 3. Leek & Burrata flatbread - must have! Wish I would have had more Main dish: hanger steak, medium rare. Exceptional! The butter on top really elevated the meal and I would say without it the steak would be lacking. Loved it. Service: fantastic! Overall: 5/5 highly recommend

A solid 3.5 from me. It falls into the category of most Santana Row restaurants - cute ambiance, nice cocktails, aesthetically pleasing, great location...ok food and expensive price tag. It does get bonus points for being one of the only Mediterranean restaurants in this area and the cocktails are quite delicious. The dishes, especially the appetizers, are small portion sizes. For apps we tried the octopus, cauliflower, meatballs, falafel. Everything was just okay. My favorite items we ordered were the Branzino and the side of potatoes. The fish was excellently cooked and deboned. A perfect item to share for a group of 2-3. The roasted potatoes were surprisingly better than the apps we tried. I loved the crisp and the salty seasoning. We sat outside on the patio and found the service to be lacking. It was slow and one of our drinks was forgotten. Overall, a good option for eating on Santana Row and I think it is slightly better than most restaurants here. I would give it a 3 normally but compared to other Santana Row fare I think it deserves a 4.
